The Montclair Township Animal Shelter is a town-managed animal shelter with the heart and soul of a volunteer-run organization. We exist to help animals who are temporarily or permanently homeless. We give them medical assistance, address any behavioral issues they may have, make sure they are socialized enough to be adopted, and care for their needs. We have dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and occasionally a snake or two. If you are looking for your new favorite furry family member, look no further! Adopt today!
Executive Director, Niki Dawson, runs the day to day operations of the Montclair Township Animal Shelter with the help of a few part time kennel assistants, and the dedication and priceless help of countless volunteers. Volunteers are the core of the Animal Shelter. They answer phones, clean litter boxes, spend time with the animals, calm them, give them love, and make sure their needs are met. Our animals are strays, ferals, surrenders, injured, lost, abandoned, and rescued animals from Montclair, NJ, surrounding areas, and sometimes overflow animals from shelters in other states.
We always are in need of goods for the Shelter. We try to keep our animals as safe, calm, and healthy as possible. In order to do that, we need a lot of stuff! Please take a look at our Amazon.com wish list below to purchase something that we need today. Thank you!
